Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, provides basic techniques anyone can be able to master. Chef Burrell had a job at the top New York restaurants and studied Italian cuisine and landscape. She also competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell was able to discover a love of cooking and food at very young. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stop for her when she finished with A Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication with a degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. She says "I loved being a Culinary Institute of American student. I loved every minute of it." It was difficult to master enough and I could not perform enough or work hard enough. After graduating, Chef Burrell took a gap year to Italy taking classes at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners during her time at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a 1 Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, and this has left an impact on her own eating habits. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten children's lives who are facing challenges. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador where she advocates for an awareness campaign on young-onset diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell goes on a tour across the United States to speak about her passion for food and her culinary career. Anne has said during her time in the culinary field that she is incredibly fortunate to be able share with others what is essential for her.
